1. First, it is a good idea to find the model number of your machine. Most lawnmowers and snowblowers have two model numbers. One is for the engine and the other one is for the rest of the machine. The engine model number is usually located on what is called the blower housing. Look towards the front of the engine (spark plug end). It is usually stamped on the housing and is clearly indicated as a model number
2. If you need a part for the rest of the machine, you need the frame model number. Most of the time this one can be found on the rear fender around the seat bracket or it may also be located right behind the machine between the two wheels, just above the trailer hitch. In the case of a snowblower it is usually located on the bottom of the machine between the two handles.
3. Now that you have your model number, your next step is to click on the link below and when the new window opens, click on parts lookup. This will bring you to another window in which you can enter the name of your machine, (Ariens, MTD, Murray, etc) and the model number.
